I get a notification that the automation has run, but no 2Do task is created. I think the risk with 2Do is that you'll dump all your to-dos into it with loads of tags and then end up with a mess. Started running 2Do Android as an app on Chromebook - works great Any straightforward way to run Android apps on Windows and run 2Do there also 3. I have an automation that runs at 4am and gets tOMORROW’s appointments and adds them (via a called shortcut) to my 2Do app as a single task with the appointments listed in the note field. This app allows you to take notes and create task lists with just a couple of taps or clicks. If I had to recommend, I'd say Omnifocus because it'll make you think about how to manage your workload. 2Do works for both Android and iOS users. Task input is slow - One of my favorite 2do features is the Quick Add function, and Things 3 feels kind of slow compared to 2do. HTML5 supports offline apps, syncing of data, and all browsers. Why do they bother wasting time developing apps Just focus on a Web portal that works on all desktops and laptops with any OS. 2do needs to build a web or win app to stay relevant. Bought the iOS app, downloaded the trial Mac OS app. currently 2do only has r/toodledo sync, whih is going down pretty fast. That's partly because the apps have been given massive revamps relatively recently and so the years of experience aren't there yet. No calendar view where you can see your calendar events and tasks like Thing 3's Today/Upcoming views, or Omnifocus' timeline view. I'm still learning how to get the best from 2Do - mainly because there's not much available from other people's experience. Omni Group produce other great software too, so I like supporting themĭisadvantages: only one context (although multiple tags/contexts are coming) you need to spend some time figuring out how you want it to work not great for simple listsĢDo: advantages - very flexible - organise the way you want lots of control over alerts etc many tags many options cheaper than OF excellent sync great for simple lists the team behind it are great tooĭisadvantages - very flexible (easy to end up with a mess) needs a learning curve no Review limited attachments support is OK but not great no user community little useful advice on how to get the best from it. Review perspective is priceless excellent sync. I use both - I've used Omnifocus for several years and started experimenting with 2Do about 2 months ago.īenefits of Omnifocus: very structured, if you want to be organised continuous development by a very good software company (development tends to be very measured) excellent support excellent user forums its of good advice (lots of bad advice too!) about how to get the best and make it work for you.
